Who Was Mary Magdalene?
Even though her popularity suggests otherwise, she is only mentioned in 12 verses in the Bible. Many of us think we know who she is and what her role was, but how much of it is based on scripture and how much is based on the Gnostic texts? It may surprise you to learn that many of the church teachings about Mary Magdalene come from outside of the Bible and have made their way into church doctrine as if it appeared in the Bible.
The Exorcism of Mary Magdalene
There are several times in the gospels when Jesus performs exorcisms on unnamed groups of people. It is possible that he met Mary Magdalene during one of these exorcisms.

Hagar was Abraham's black Egyptian concubine that overcame her status as a servant to become the mother to of the largest nations to ever exist. When Sarah failed to get pregnant, as God promised her she would, she decided to take things into her own hands, and give her Egyptian handmaid Hagar to Abraham, so that he could get her pregnant.
"And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife. And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes." - Genesis 16:3-4

The story of Aaron's journey from slave to voice of God and the first high priest of Israel is probably one of the strangest series of events in the Bible. When scripture introduces an important person, there is usually some kind of back story. While there are a few exceptions to these brief back stories, Aaron is the one that stands out the most.
When Was Aaron Born?
Aaron, Miriam, and Moses were the children of Amram and Jochebed. When Aaron age is first mentioned in scripture, we're told that he was 83 years old.
"And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh." - Exodus 7:7
Aaron being three years older than Moses means that he was born three years prior to or just as the Hebrews being put under bondage...
