Late 1400s: Hebrews Confirmed As Black and on The West Coast of Africa

This piece of evidence is the smoking gun. It’s only a couple of paragraphs, but it fills in a great deal of information that we’ve been missing. It is found in, The Nautical Magazine: A Journal of Papers on Subjects Connected …, Volume 39.

Mulatto Hebrews

Hebrews In Guinea

According to the text, the Jews were expelled from Portugal and taken to the coast of Southern Guinea. This was not slavery yet. Also note that Guinea is located in West Africa. Here’s a map of Guinea.

Hebrews In St. Thomas

St. Thomas is located just off the coast of Africa, and currently has the name São Tomé and Príncipe. Here is a map of that island.

Mulatto Hebrews

The descendants of the Jews living in São Tomé and Príncipe are described as “Mulatto”. If you’re not familiar with the term, it is a term used to describe a person mixed with black and white. Many people find the term to be offensive. However, it is a major piece of evidence because the writer points out that the women were Anglo (white). By process of elimination it means that the Jewish men spoken of in the text were black.

Hebrews In Gabun (Gabon)

The writer confirms that people in Gabon were most likely descended from black Hebrews. Gabon is located on the West Coast of Africa just like Guinea.

Loango is located on the coast of Gabon.

Different From Africans

It was the missionaries that first noticed that the people in Gabon and Loango were not just African Jews, but were different.

The Breakdown

When we consider the evidence here along with what we know about the Transatlantic Slave Trade, which is that black people were taken from West Africa. Here is a slave trade map to put the areas mentioned in perspective:

The more history we piece together, the more solid our position becomes. Every source starting from 70 A.D. places Hebrews in Africa, and most sources after that place the Hebrews specifically on the West Coast of Africa before the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

Prove that Hebrews was black is a fact, but they was not call jews. The word jew was not created until 1775 AD. There no ‘j’ in the Hebrew alphabet then or now nor in the Greek alphabet then or now. Get your facts straight. Dr. John Whitman Ray said ‘Contempt prior to complete research, enslave men to ignorant.

Well since you’re too simple to use your brain, let me break it down to you. Your information isn’t new or enlightening. I write for a broad audience. So who cares if there’s no J in Hebrew? I’m writing in English to English speaking people.

Common sense would tell you that I’m referring to the language used in the journal.

So maybe you should research what you’re talking about before you speak on what you think I know and don’t know. You’re about 20 years too late on that Hebrew “lesson”. I learned that in high school.

How is it possible that you are referring to the Greek and Hebrew alphabet, but you can’t compose a grammatically correct sentence in English?
