Broad Overview For Understanding The Spanish and Portuguese Jews
This post is a combination of numerous presentations and sources that all point to the Spanish and Portuguese Jews being black, exiled to West Africa, and then sent as slaves to the Americas and to the four corners of the world but some also chose to flee to the New World, as well. These sources are key because the Spanish and Portuguese Jews said that they are the descendants of King David, Benjamin, and Levite. These presentations and sources also prove without a shadow of a doubt that Israelites were purposely targeted in the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
These presentations and sources point to biblical prophecy as Isaiah 11:12 says, “And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.” This Scripture clearly tells us Judah was dispersed to the 4 corners of the world.
These presentations and sources also point to Deuteronomy 28:68, “And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.” Deuteronomy 28:68 is not referring to physical Egypt, but the spiritual successor of Egypt which is in another location. Exodus 20:2 gives the definition of what Egypt means spiritually, 2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.” These Scriptures confirm Israel going into the Transatlantic Slave Trade and Arab Slave Trade via ships.
These presentations and sources also point to Joel 3:3-6, “And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head; Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things: The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.” This Scripture talks of the chattel slavery Judah endured through the Transatlantic and Arab Slave Trades and how the negro was taken far away from our land.
These presentations and sources also point to Hosea 9:17, “My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.” This Scripture points to Spanish and Portuguese Jews fleeing Africa primarily but also to various different areas. This verse also points to Israelites
