Building on insights from Truth Unedited\u2019s teaching \u201cUNDERSTANDING ISRAEL (PT. 7): WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN 1492?\u201d, this lesson examines how forced conversions, exile, and migration reshaped Jewish communities across Europe, Africa, and the Americas.<\/p>\n<p>We look at the expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1492 under Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile, and how many fled into Portugal\u2014only to face further persecution and forced conversion shortly after. Some of these communities, often referred to as \u201cNew Christians\u201d or \u201cConversos,\u201d carried their traditions into West Africa, the Caribbean, and the early Americas.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcfd\ufe0f We also include a powerful clip from Uncovering Hidden Hebrews 2 The Lost Children Of Judah by Benayah Israel, which goes deeper into the tragic history of Israelite children taken during this period and sent to the islands of S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe.
