Feast of Weeks<\/p>\n<p>Shavuot is called the Feast of Weeks:<\/p>\n<p>Exodus 34:22<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hebrew:<\/p>\n<p>* Chag (\u05d7\u05b7\u05d2) \u2014 feast\/festival<br \/>\n* Shavuot (\u05e9\u05b8\u05c1\u05d1\u05d5\u05bc\u05e2\u05d5\u05b9\u05ea) \u2014 weeks<\/p>\n<p>So:<br \/>\nChag Shavuot = Feast of Weeks<\/p>\n<p>\u2e3b<\/p>\n<p>\ud83e\ude94 2. Feast of Firstfruits<\/p>\n<p>It is also tied to the firstfruits harvest.<\/p>\n<p>Numbers 28:26:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlso in the day of the firstfruits\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hebrew:<\/p>\n<p>* Bikkurim (\u05d1\u05b4\u05bc\u05db\u05bc\u05d5\u05bc\u05e8\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd) \u2014 firstfruits<\/p>\n<p>This feast celebrated the beginning of the wheat harvest and the offering of the first increase unto Yahuah.<\/p>\n<p>\u2e3b<\/p>\n<p>\ud83e\ude94 3. The Counting<\/p>\n<p>The counting toward Shavuot is called counting the seven weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Deuteronomy 16:9:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeven weeks shalt thou number unto thee\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This counting later became known as counting the Omer.<\/p>\n<p>\u2e3b<\/p>\n<p>\ud83e\ude94 4.
