February: A separate winter storm cut power to over 380,000 customers in the Northeast. March: Storms knocked out power for more than 1 million customers across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic, with Ohio hit hardest. April: At least 29 tornadoes touched down in Central Illinois alone. May: The Energy Secretary issued an emergency order to deploy backup generation across the Mid-Atlantic amid a heat wave. June: More than 373,000 customers lost power due to extreme weather.
