Federal agents took the brothers into custody outside the James L. Knight Center, where Andrew had been scheduled to appear at a bare-knuckle boxing event.<br \/>\nBritain&#8217;s Crown Prosecution Service announced a major expansion of its case against the brothers, bringing the total to 59 charges involving seven alleged victims. Andrew Tate faces 42 charges, including new counts of rape, trafficking for sexual exploitation, assault, and offenses relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate faces 17 charges, including sexual assault, rape, and trafficking. The alleged offenses span July 2010 to August 2017, in the East of England region north of London, where the brothers grew up.<br \/>\nThe brothers&#8217; attorney, Joseph McBride, said he had not yet been able to speak with his clients, called the new charges &quot;filth and slander,&quot; and argued the timing is meant to interfere with defamation lawsuits the brothers have filed in the U.S. He said he expects them to &quot;walk free&quot; once the facts are reviewed by a judge.<br \/>\nThis adds to existing legal proceedings in Romania, where the brothers, both dual U.S.-British citizens, were first arrested in December 2022 and later indicted on charges including running a criminal ring that allegedly lured women into sexual exploitation \u2014 allegations they also deny.
