It&#8217;s a conversation passed down for generations, echoing names like Emmett Till, Tamir Rice, and George Floyd.<\/p>\n<p>Writer Maia Niguel Hoskin (ZORA) argues Nolan&#8217;s case has expanded that conversation into new territory: how to navigate being the only Black person in a group of white friends, in a predominantly white social setting.
