This source confirms what we already know, but this post investigates the source from a different perspective. The person who stated that descendants of Jews from Judea being on the African Coast and that they are black came from James William Charles Pennington.

Who was this brillant individual? He was an enslaved person in America who escaped slavery at the age of 19 and became the first black student at Yale. His book is regarded as being the earliest known history of African-Americans and he was able to write a well-balanced persepective because he was both a slave and a freedman.

The fact that this individual knew that the Portuguese on West Africa were black and that Jews from Judea were black confirms yet again that Judaism is not new to West Africa and the negro knew of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob long before we came to America.

"And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God." - John 8:45-47
