This source gives some keen insight onto the origins and ethnicity of El-Kahina that confirms what we already know about her. Other sources on this website have noted that she was black/dark-skinned, she had a mass of hair (dreadlocks that were bunched up or an Afro), and she was an African nationalist. We have noted elsewhere on this website how the Himyarites were described as being Ethiopians/Cushaeans and Berbers came in many shades of skin complexion.
