Phoenicia Meant “(Dark) red,” Which Could have Been Due to their Dark Skin

Utilizing Occam’s Razor and how appellatives were assigned in the ancient world, it makes most sense that Phoenicians were designated “(dark) red” due to their “dark skin”.
