This source speaks about the Phoenician colony on West Africa once again. The colony on West Africa resembled the inhabitants on the east coast of Africa in every way including physical appearance and customs so we can assume these were Israelites and Canaanites because it can be argued that the original Phoenicians were a combination of both groups. Please keep in mind that the Phoenicians who later evolved into the Carthaginians did mix amongst different peoples they had relationships with.
