In Ruth Chapter 4, Elimilech’s nearest kinsman refuses to redeem his heritage. He does not want to take on the marriage to Ruth in fear of losing his own heritage. In the process, he plucked off his shoe and gave Boaz the authority of redemption. In this study, we explore how this process is a prophecy of Yeshua’s redemption of the whole house of Israel.
