After Israel came out of Egypt, they did not immediately arrive at covenant fullness.
They had to:
* walk
* cleanse
* prepare
* count.
The counting of the Omer teaches:
* expectation
* discipline
* progression
* spiritual preparation.
Yahuah could have brought them out of Egypt and stopped there.
But deliverance was only the beginning.
