This source confirms the notion that many Moors were considered to be black in ancient times. This source confirms the existence of other black peoples in the northern regions of Africa, as well. Please take note that not all Moors were black, but many of them were black and some were mixed. This source is important because Professor Lucia Chiavola Birnbaum noted that Jews and Moors physically resembled each other.
